My first rave was Excision in 2015. I immediately fell in love with EDM and
how free it made me feel and went to every show and festival I could. In 2017 I started promoting for a local venue in my college town. I loved following rave clothing brands especially the smaller woman-owned ones. One day I was donating clothes and wanted to see if I could repurpose anything. I cut up a pair of orange shorts and hand-sewed the edges into a shabby bodysuit. It wasn’t the best, but that day I wrote down that I wanted to own a rave clothing company. I bought a sewing machine, took classes, but I didn’t stick with it. In 2020 during quarantine I finally picked my dusty machine back up and with the help of Tiktok tutorials, I started making pieces to wear to the raves they were holding at drive-in movie theaters.

I officially started Psicodelico in September 2020 and promised myself I would never quit no matter what, even if I never made a sale. I kept going. Day by day, little by little. Always working on something: New fabrics, new designs, website, LLC, photo shoots (me & my tripod in my backyard), late nights, set up shop in my bedroom with my dog. I was finally building a brand and a community of rave babes I’d always dreamed about. I started making more than just sets & bodysuits I started designing merchandise, menswear, stickers, jewelry, and more, giving everything a shot! I started working for my friends who sold rave merch at festivals, and they so generously let me add my clothes to their booth. It was so much fun to connect with customers IRL and dress them! I connected with other rave brands which led to my pieces being sold in stores and in festival booths across the country. To keep up with demand I partnered with local seamstresses. I’m always on the hunt for statement pieces like faux fur coats and wook belts to add to the shop.

So please enjoy this curated collection of funky finds. Some still handmade with love in Houston, others from designers/artists I work with directly, and more pieces I’ve found that align with the Psicodelico vision, but each that comes from a part of my journey in chasing this dream and holds a special place in my heart. EDM has changed (and saved) my life. I hope you find something in this shop that makes you feel that same magic we feel only at festivals and raves.

You never know where it could take you if you don’t try! It could turn out better than you could even imagine.
